Now let us select polygon faces and extrude them in as shown below.

Now scale it down a bit and then extrude it again, towards outside and then rotate back a bit as shown below.

Now we shall ring the nail area and add 1 segment at the middle and pull out the middle vertex so that your nail area will look rounder in shape. For humanoid modeling you’re the best reference for modeling. Keep looking your body parts. I sometimes do this. Assume them and start working on it.
